Just wanted to make sure I'm not walking into a Credit limit decrease. My available credit is 11k on a QS, I plan to put a 4k purchase on it tomorrow and then pay off when it post to my balance. Any possible issues here?
I believe that at worst, you'll need to approve your charge by replying "yes" to a text message. You're certainly not going to put yourself into account review territory.
The most involved situation I ever encountered involved a tax bill with a convenience fee. The text wanted me to approve the fee but didn't give me the opportunity to approve the actual tax charge. Calling in fixed the issue.
Nope, you are using your limit as you see fit. As long as the purchase isn't iffy then it'll be business as usual
Can it trigger review? Sure, but unlikely, especially if you pay it immediately, I would not worry at all
If you really want to be safe, call the issuer and let them know it is coming, but it is not that unusual unless the merchant is Eastern European or something (no disrespect to them, just a fraud prone region).
No problem! Cap One loves large purchases and PIF... They bumped my CL up a few months after putting $5300 on a $10K Savor MC and paying it off.
As long as you pay on time, Cap One is the honey badger of credit cards.
They just don't care.
