Capital one happen to anyone else??? Help!

I've recently applied for this online, got a response saying to wait 7-10 days for a response. I called and asked a status on it and they said they sent out a letter requesting my SSN and drivers license to verify identity to make a final decision  which I faxed and they received. I then called back a few days ago & they said they received it and I'd be notified by mail of a final decision. Is this any sign of approval, being they didn't deny me online or on the phone? Credit karma vantagescore is 676. I also currently have a capital one platinum secured card $300 limit never been late on A payment.

Could go either way but to request those docs when you already have an account with them is strange.... Good luck on getting the card.

It seems like they've been adding more jumps and hoops for their CC approvals.

OP, if you get denied, be sure to recon.  The UWs at Cap One seem reasonable, so long as you can get to them.

I thought it was sorta strange too, but that it was just something they do, I'm not sure if it's for identity purposes as it just says to "verify the information below" and that information is my SSN and mailing address I really hope to get it and forgive me, I'm new to the forum what's UW's?

Oh ok gotcha, I guess I'll have to wait for it to come in the mail, they said they'd send my decision in the mail 7-10 days from when they received my documents which was the 27th I think. Did anyone else go throughe this with them?

Email their ceo just Google capital one ceo email it will come up his name is Richard lol. Anyways Richard won't call you back but someone from the executive office will. I have emailed them a couple times first time I got denied my qs card and the second time a week ago to get the af removed for good which they were also able to do

So I got another letter today saying they couldn't approve because application was incomplete or couldn't be verified so I called them & the rep said my address wasn't clear enough for them to read or it was too dark. So now I gotta re send my info so it looks more clear for them to see, even though they keep mailing me these letters etc but I guess we'll see what the outcome is!

actually he first tried to blame it on not being able to read the SSN but said it wasnt that, that it was the address. hopefully I get approved!
