that happened to me and I also already had a secured card with them. They requested the same documents from me to verify my ssn and address. They required two documents, I sent in four LOL... I really wanted to get approved and I did.
The only thing is I faxed them, I did not mail them. I signed up online for one of the free 30 day fax trial things and I faxed it twice a day for 3 days in a row. Because I had also heard they always say that the documents can't be read for being too dark/light/blurry and decline for that reason alone. I did not want to waste a hard pull inquary for not being able to be verified. I must have called about once a day for two weeks until I was told I was approved.... I think your chances are very good, you just need to make sure they have all your documents requested within 30 days of your initial application. If you can, fax them in right away. Also if you can, send them two forms of verification for each request. like ss card, drivers license, bank statement and copy of your check. Or something similar. Call them to ask for the fax number and your application number, make sure you write your application number on each page. Best of luck.
