That's great information, thanks for sharing!
This works for me too! Thanks for the tip.
It worked for me too. I was more just curious what they would offer. I PCed my Platinum to a QS a few years ago. I was putting a lot of spend through it back then.
Today they offered the Venture One, which I have no need for. I still use it occasionally, but prefer my CFU/CSP combo for daily spending.
This is my first post as I'm just starting to up my credit game. I opened the QS1 3 years ago when rebuilding my credit and have been denied for a CLI or PC everytime since. I use the card regularly, pay in full each month, and I'm now back to a 720 with the last negative dropping off my report. After reading most of the topics here on Cap1 this constant denial doesn't make any sense... Then to top it off, today I recieved a product upgrade offer for my platinum (which I've had for a year and barely use) to a QS.
I took the PC, but that now leaves me with the QS1 which seems to be in pergatory. Has anyone else had this problem or have any advice on getting this card upgraded?
Thank you in advance!
@Anonymous @It's not just you. I've had a QS1 for five years. I got it on the same day I got a Platinum. The Platinum was upgraded to a QS within the first six months. I've tried upgrading the QS1 over the years with no success. You can ask for a one time fee waiver of the annual fee
@SweetCreditObsession have you ever heard of anyone having success with customer service? I'm hoping there's a reconsideration strategy to getting the card upgraded, otherwise it's going in drawer for a couple years until I close it.
@Anonymous - I've always tried speaking to customer service because the upgrade link doesn't work for me. Sorry I can't share anything encouraging regarding the upgrade prospects.
Just did the /productupgrade and got to upgrade my platinumn to a quicksilver
@Anonymous ,
I was able to graduate my QS1 to a QS and then to my current no AF Savor card. This was eons ago (2013 - 2017) though...
I had the QS1 also called in asked what are my upgrade options. I was told I could upgrade to a QS. I already had a QS but I took the upgrade from QS1 to QS. They let me upgrade my QS to a venture1 card.

The =\upgradeproduct works ...Ive had my card for 5 yrs and 3 months...Secured Plat to QS1 and now Venture1....I would never upgrade to a AF card when my terms wont change and its a bucket card, I cant even get past $7k CL, I guess I am lucky since some have lower CLs
@Working-on-Credit1, congratulations on being able to upgrade your QuicksilverOne. That"s not easy to do, and most give up.
Once six months have passed, I'd check into "upgrading" your VentureOne back to a Quicksilver. The QS is a better card, and there's nothing that the V1 does better. I have two QSes, and with different closing dates, I find it easy to make them play together.
