Once six months have passed, I'd check into "upgrading" your VentureOne back to a Quicksilver. The QS is a better card, and there's nothing that the V1 does better. I have two QSes, and with different closing dates, I find it easy to make them play together.
How so? QS1 has a 1.5% while V1 has a 1.25% ....I had the QS1 and switched over to the Venture1 and as little as I use the card I see no difference. For me starting over and being in a bucket, the biggest thing is being able to upgrade and a lot of people are in the same boat. BTW both cards are for good to excellent credit, after you go unsecured that's a plus

Cap1 now offers multiple credit tiers for many of their cards. You can have both with just good credit
Just used the link to upgrade my Platinum opened back in January to a QS, which is the only offer I had. So excited!
I checked a month or so ago and had no offers then. They did just give me a $100 CLI recently from $300 -> $400. I've been putting about 4-5x that in spend on the card and PIF throughout the month. I guess it is paying off
I still had an active CO from a previous QS One that was with PRA. I just paid that off, but it hasn't updated/been deleted yet on any of my CRs.
This worked! I
was able to upgrade my Platinum and my Journey to a Venture One and a Quicksilver.
Thanks for the link extension! I just got upgraded on both my Platinum accounts to Quicksilver.
It worked for me too...upgraded to QS. Thanks
Thank you for this information. I was able to upgrade platinum to QS!
This worked great thanks 😊
Nice to see all of the recent upgrades.
This link helped me out about a year and a half ago.
I never would've known about it without myFICO, this forum is priceless.
Thanks so much for the tip on adding the "/productupgrade" to the end of the URL. Turns out I was eligible to convert my Platinum Preferrered to a Quicksilver. No CLI increase, and APR is the same, but it has 1.5% cash back. Not too bad for just 2 clicks and no hard pull. It says that I won't be eligible for promotions or bonus offers that new cardholders would get, but I don't think QS even has offers. Maybe this will help my chances on getting a card with a signing bonus (like Venture).
