Capital one upgrade question

Hey all,
So I have a Quicksilver and a Quicksilver one capital one cards. I originally had a platinum, which I upgraded to a Quicksilver about 3 months in. Is there another upgrade from the two different Quicksilver cards to another one like venture? I've followed a link I found here but the site says upgrade unavailable at this time. Just curious if there is a way to go about upgrading the Quicksilver one so I don't have an annual fee anymore

Re: Capital one upgrade question

Have you considered combining the two cards?  If you move the QuicksilverOne with the annual fee into the Quicksilver that was originally the Platinum it should result in the Quicksilver having the combined credit limit with no annual fee.  Of course the QuicksilverOne would be closed.  I believe in order to do the combination the donor card (QuicksilverOne) has to be at a zero balance.  Also, you would have to check under account services to see if you are eligible to do a combination.  YMMV.

Re: Capital one upgrade question

You can try online and see what they say if you try to combine. Under...I want to....Of course move the QS1 to the QS. It isnt easy. The QS1 is a brick and doesnt move too good or anything else like CLI's. I closed mine out. You will see the rules and such online. If you pass the requirements. See if it will go thru and combine. No great loss losing the brick. You'll have much better luck upgrading the QS in time. Good luck!
