CapitalOne Authorized User

Hi All,

I want to add somebody to my Savor card as an authorized user, but CapOne doesn't really give a lot of detail about what kind of controls you have over that person.  I've gone through the process of adding the person (and having the card shipped to me so I can check out what they can see before I go through with it), but it appears that the only thing I can do with an authorized user is delete them or add another.

For anybody here who has an authorized user on their account, can you answer a couple questions?

1)  I see that they are offered to download the app and create a login.   Will they see ALL my CapOne accounts, or just this card?

2)  If they see just this card, do they have full access, or can I limit what they can do?  Example, limit the credit available to them, restrict them from ordering a duplicate card, balance transfers, etc.

3)  I also see that all charges will show on one bill...  How are the differentiated?  Is it just line item notes, or is there a seperate total for each user on the statement?

My husband is an authorized user on my Savor card. His card is a different number and that’s how you differentiate the charges on your app and statement, it’ll show the last 4, It’s all one statement, due date, minimum payment etc. In the app you have the ability to lock or unlock their card and you can also set up notifications to your phone when each charge is done so you can monitor spending. Rewards earned are all lumped into one amount. From what I know in general about authorized users is they’re not allowed to do much of anything but use the card and make payments.
