Pleasant Surprise from AMEX!

So I just checked my account and couldn’t help but to notice that Amex gave me my 50k membership reward points from the gold they previously denied. What makes it interesting is that I didn’t even reach the minimum spend for the card after learning I wouldn’t get the bonus a week or so in.

Idk if this was just a courtesy since i was denied the bonus upon receiving no pop up anyways I am very happy!

Maybe AmEx goofed but it is in your favor and nobody else can say they were harmed. You best bet is to accept the generosity and keep living life. I am fairly certain they are either on a good will shopping spree or doing damage control so enjoy.

Haha yea I’m still surprise and definitely wasn’t expecting it. I was so close to closing my card and getting my annual fee refunded when I learned I was denied! Glad I didn’t now lol. I still may close it when the 2nd fee hits however but this makes that decision a little tougher.
