I am having such a hard time getting a CLI for my cap one credit card. I've had this CC since October 2019. I've paid balances in full. My issue is, every time I try a CLI for the past few months it keeps saying my Credit Score is too low and it's at a 586. Well, my credit score has gotten a lot higher since November and now I'm the 670's-680's for all scores.
I would like to add that it says this credit score date is from 05/26/2020. Wouldn't they be able to see my new credit scores? Is there something I'm doing wrong? I would really love a CLI because my CL is only $300.
if anyone else has had this problem, or have advice please help me out. Thank you.
O yea the only use its getting know is to pay for MyFico membership just to keep it active. If it had a AF I would he canceling it.
Card is basically worthless and I'll probably cancel shortly.
Im pretty upset it sucks so bad, cant believe I blew a 5/24 slot on it tbh
I got my Walmart Store Card in Feb of this year with a $300 CL, at three months, I received an increase of $100. Ill be requesting a CL once it shows Ive had the card for 6 months.
Im hoping it increases more than $100. Its my lowest CL . Im still in rebuild though. 1 collection and 3 accounts with lates that wont fall off until 2023. All FICO 8s in the Good range except Trans at 667.
I see the Capital 1 motto is at work even in the Walmart card, I suggest you all begin complaing to the CEO of Walmart and demand another processor or complain about how Cap-1 is restricting CLIs whereas Synch was generous
I don't have any hate. Just wanted to see if anyone has had this issue and a way to get it resolved.

Just about everyone has this issue with just about every cap1 card. The cure is heavy spend for at least 3 months. For me, it took cycling my limits 3x in 3 months before they gave me increases
For some reason Walmart capital one seems to give smaller limits from others I have heard from as well. Usually after 6-8 months they will allow you to request more.
My experience with the card is it takes about 6 to 9 months before the CLI's start happening. I had my Walmart card when the issuer was Synchrony and had a $2,500 CL. I paid the bill off each month, just like you're doing and after 6 months, they raised my CL to $5,000. In less than 4 months later, they raised my CL to $7,500. I use the card about twice a month to order groceries for pickup and pay the bill off before it's due each month.
