For those of you that have the QS1 card from Capitol One, what kind of CLI's were you receiving from them?
I started off back in November @ $300, then went to $400 in Feb and now that I finished my credit steps (about 6 months later), I received an automatic CLI to $750.
I only put about $50-150 a month on this card and was wondering if yours grew from that low of an amount.
TIA

If you use the card heavily and make large payments every month, you'll see bigger CLIs.
How much were you putting on the card?
I don't believe this to be true after JUST hanging up with a Capital 1 rep - came here to make a new post about it and saw this on top, I'll just add my comments here.
Per Kelly, a wonderful friendly rep I spoke with - Your CLI via credit steps is PREDETERMINED. Spending levels, is irrelevant. My call started with asking if my current card was enrolled in credit steps, which she confirmed.
She then went on to say the only criteria is 5 on time payments, and on the 7th statement your CLI is added. She said, and I quote "According to Offer Managment your $500 increase will be ON your account on the 7th statement date, for you July 21st".
She also checked "Offer managmenet" for my secured card (13th statment cut 2 weeks ago) and said at this time it is not eligible but they constantly are revieiwing accounts, and they will notify me directly as soon as it is eligible.
For additional data points my ficos are ranging 648-677. Mixed usage, avg about $800 spend on $600CL, generally PIF sometimes leave 5% balance...
Thanks for the info. I guess I'll just continue using it and hope it grows. I can't really make any big purchases on this thing due to the toy card limit.
Anyone have any recommendations on how I can rid myself of the AF?
I've read a post or two in the past about when the AF hits, call and request a waive - YMMV but other users reported it being waived, and some 1/2 refunded.
You may check the Cap 1 upgrade link found here; https://verified.capitalone.com/sic-ui/#/esignin?Product=Card&Action=ProductUpgrade
The thread about the upgrade link is http://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/Credit-Cards/Capital-One-check-for-upgrade-link/td-p/4934733
Again, not to argue but the rep just told me differently.
There is no "first step" - when you request a CLI during credit steps you get the first $100 of whatever the predetermined amount is. My predetermined amount was $600. I already got $100 of it when I requested a CLI - the other $500 will be put on July 21st, my 7th statement.
Maybe I misunderstood, or she is wrong, but If what your saying is correct - how can the rep tell me a specific amount of CLI on a specific day (2+ months away) Predict my usage? I
Thanks Ohsnaps. I saw that thread last week and didn't really have an upgrade other than it looks like I may not have an AF anymore. I've attached my screenshot to see what you all think.
Actually "keep your existing fee" sounds like there is still an AF.
