I have a Platnium Mastercard ($1.5k), a Journey Visa Platnium ($750) and a QuickSilver (5k). i tried to move $300 from my Platnium Mastercard to my Visa Platnium and the rep told me that they don't do that...I was pretty dissapointed because it struck me that i can easily make my credit report look better by making my lowest CL at least $1k.
I plan on getting in contact with Amex in the morning to move some of my CL from my Hilton Hhonors ($10.5k) to my other 3 cars (Blue Cash Everyday - $4.5, True Earning $1.2K and Gold Delta $1k) I hope they let me.
Then i'll get in contact with Chase to move some of my CL on my Amazon Visa $2k to my Chase Freedom $300 (formerly my Student +1 card and my OLDEST credit line from my high school days lol). I've asked for 3 CLI on my freedom this year and they all go denied, but they still have the nerve to send me emails for stuff i can't charge on a $300 limit. It gets on my nerves so much that i always write back whenever they send me a promo offer for some concert ticket that cost a lot or anything fairly expensive.
Hope everything goes as planned. It will surely make me happy lol.
Cap 1 told me the same thing. I wanted to combine my 2 Cap 1 cards and they said no dice. The lady I spoke with said they get a lot of requests to combine limits and that they were studying the possibility so maybe one day they will change policy.
I believe that Chase will move it around without any problem.
Yeah, I asked CapOne to move some of my limits to my low limit card and they said they don't do that. I did that at the EO levell so that I could then ask for a CLI when denied. So they are working on the CLI at the moment. I hope they don't notice that new limit of $10,000, because that might give them a reason to say that I have too much credit already.

I'm aware that credit card issuers like to match, or come close to matching, the limits of other cards if one's profile meets their UW standards, but is one card in a person's portfolio of less than $1k a detriment of any kind, or is just "window dressing" from your point of view?
Edited: Sorry I screwed up this posting format.
Window dressing at best lol. I just don't like seeing the $750 credit line. The $300 Chase Freedom even gets to me more. I want all my limits to be 1k and above because, obviously it looks better to other creditors and does wonders for my UTI. I was going to spread some of my 10k Hilton Hhonors credit line around, but i figured i'd wait till the end of the year and apply for a CLI on my True Earnings Card. That's the one i really need. I don't care much for the Gold Delta, i just need it for the free baggage and priority boarding. Doesn't hurt to also have the 20% refreshments too. The Sky Club thing is very overpriced, i think i'll pass on that lol. I heard they have really clean bathrooms there though.
