Card Birthdays and Inquiries!

Hello everyone...quick question. I have three cards having birthdays in early July and three or four inquiries having birthdays. Approximately  how many points will I gain? I'm hoping Ex will catch up with the others as it is where all my inquiries are. And maybe I can get 760 on the other two?Smiley Very Happy

I would play with the FICO simulator-

It's gonna be more accurate than our guesses-

Re: Card Birthdays and Inquiries!

I had a bunch of inquiries from 2006 fall of all 3 CR's in early April. It gave me a 12 pt score boost. I'm not sure how much you will gain after one year.

Would you be so kind as to tell me where in the simulator it can manipulate the data like that? All I can see is the effect of paying cards down getting new accounts and the like. I don't see anywhere you can input anything like accounts aging or inquiries dropping off. Can you help me?

Sorry to cause controversy, but I didn't see it either. This is why I asked, just to see what others have experienced. Thanks.

Re: Card Birthdays and Inquiries!

Do it just based on paying bills on-time-

The scoring range thing. OK. You had any luck with it? I find it next to useless for me. Tells me and always has if I pay on time for 2 years my score will remain the same on the low end and be 40 points higher on the high end. Smiley Happy

Re: Card Birthdays and Inquiries!

For two years? Wow, your scores must be getting up there and flattening out. I'd say that means you're just about at the ceiling for your score bucket.

FWIW, I got 3-4 points for each card's first birthday, and 2-3 points for each inq going over 12 months and no longer counting. Interestingly, I got the scores bumps on the first of the month for the account birthdays, but the bumps for the inqs came on the actual anniversary of the inqs.

So inqs and accounts actually happened somewhere around 12/20/06, but I got the accounts over 12 months bump on 12/1/07, and the inqs over 12 months bump on 12/20/07, or whatever the exact date was.
