Yep, Walmart.  Why?

LOL!!! I just knew by the limit. think they are the only store that regularly gives out 200.00 limits for a store that sends you sale advertisements for purses that you couldn't even buy the mayching wallet for with that CL.

Yeah, I was a little disappointed with the CL, but as I say, just to be able to get a cc tickles me to death.  It has already helped raise my score.  I got another 8 point increase over the weekend and 12 points just a couple of days before that.  I am up 58 points from where I started in the first week of June!

Thanks Brammy.  What are their requirements.....use monthly and PIF, use and pay to 1-9%?  Do they simply check your accpunt with them?  Or do they do a soft pull?  Help me figure out the crdit mystery!!!  LOL.

They do soft you often for account review.  Never been harded for a CLI.  I have maxed it out, paid in full, doesn't seem to be a ryhme or reason as to how they do things. Just remember to request or you may be sittig with that limit for a good l ng time.

Re: Card Limit

i have had a sam's/walmart private label account through gemb for almost a year and a half. not once had a cli. after reading this i called and the rep said the only way she could do it was to pull a hard. after my recent app spree (thanks sleigh, but it's like the saying  "you can't rape the willing") i couldn't let her do that. i asked if she could just do an internal review w/o the pull, she said that was something only a supervisor could do and those are random (compuetr generated). i said put it in the comments that after a year i would have thought i would have been trusted a little more. continued on with how much i use the card and what a pain it was to make multiple payments a month, etc....

we'll see if it goes anywhere. i made it clear that no way did i want a hard pulled. she did say that if she pulled a hard that i would get at least a $200 cli. again, with the recent inquiry record i restrained myself. the thought of nails driving through my flesh worked.

Re: Card Limit

really? wonder why the csr said they would have to pull. should i chance it online, or leave it alone?

Re: Card Limit

See if they have a button.  If they may pull a hard it should advise you that they may need to pull a new report. They may be doing something different now tho.

Re: Card Limit

there was a button, and i hit it. i made sure i read everything, no mention of pulling the credit. it came back so quick i don't see how it could have pulled the inquiry. it gave me 200. why they don't just make it automatic is beyond me.

many thanks!

you can bet i'll be hitting that button every 4 months now!
