Card not reporting

I just noticed that a Sears store card was listed on Ex and EQ, but not on TU, ever. The card was opened in 2006, with a 2k CL. I have since closed the account, high apr, six months ago, but still have a balance of $150. TU is my lowest score, so will this help to raise my score if I ask TU to add it to my file. Also, how would I go about to do this, if this is a positive move to add the card to TU.

Re: Card not reporting

Unfortunately, there isn't much that you can do.

Some banks only report to one or two CRA's, and there isn't a way to "force" the information onto other reports.

Fico 8 7/01/25: EX 800, EQ 805, TU 792.
Fico 9: EX 812 04/15/25, EQ 804 04/08/25, TU 792 02/15/25.

Zero percent financing is where the devil lives...

Re: Card not reporting

Hi ! Welcome to the forums !

The comment from tcbofade is correct ~ unfortunately we can't request the CRAs to delete or add accounts. Each creditor decides which CRA they want to report to ~ some only report to two or even just one CRA.

I also have an old closed Sears/Citi account ~ it has never shown on my TU report. Actually it's dropped off EQ and only shows on EX now.

Re: Card not reporting

But if there was a baddie you could be sure that it would be all over every CRA. It is unfortunate that this is the way the system is designed, but you can not force someone to report a good TL to the other CRA
