oh and thats a better offer than what I got 100 points for $1000 spend in 3 months I should of used card match as well

I don't think card match ever shows the PRG or any of their charge cards for that matter.  The times I have tried it to see what they recommend it alway shows the BCE or BCP as there top choices.

BCE & BCP are the only amex choices I have seen as well.

Re: Cardmatch and Amex BCE

Alright......I decided what the hey, I am going to go for it.

Put in my info.............

Shot down for the PRG.

Not exactly surprised.

As I was looking at the PRG denial screen I kept flashing back to the BofA pre approval for the Cash Rewards Visa.

I figured why not since the PRG should have been a soft pull after my BCE approval.

Put in my info,  got the 30 day "let you know message".

Called the recon number. Spoke to a super nice lady who looked over my payment history and approved me for $4900. Even though this was only $100 shy of being a Sig Visa I was more than greatful that She approved me for a card with BofA.

Anyway, just sharing.

Re: Cardmatch and Amex BCE

You are absolutely correct as usual.

BCE was $2000 CL which I can live with plus BofA limit I am living large.

!3 months ago had 2 Cap1 cards worth $1350 combined.

Now looking at just over $26,000 limits at 9% utilization.

So glad I found you folks.

Re: Cardmatch and Amex BCE

Okay....Chapped at Marathon for the useless limit so figured not much to lose at this point.

Applied for Exxon card, approved for $1000. Need a gas card to avoid giving Step Daughter Visa/Amex/Whatever. Gas only card is safer.

Talking to wife earlier tonight, decided to try for the Discover IT card again after 5 months.

Approved for $2000 after calling in to verify ID.

I am definitely in the garden for the next 90 days then off to purchase a 2014 Impala LTZ.....What a car.

Thanks again for the help.

Congrats now head for the garden and that dream car for 2014

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

Re: Cardmatch and Amex BCE

Just an update.

Received the BCE today and completed my account setup.

First thing I noticed was the member since date of 2008.

It looks like my previous employer, who issued the PLUM card to employees, counted as my member since date.

Looks like I did get something out of the old bird owner after all.

Wont hurt my AAoA one bit.

Nice!

The AMEX backdating is great. I was shocked when after getting my first AMEX cards in March of this year I logged onto the app and saw member since '00. I was an AU on my dad's card for less than a year when it turned 18. Pulled my FICO scores, it was a 50+ point gift from the gods. AAoA was less than 1 year beforehand.
