Cardmatch.com

I tried it, and it says:

Timothy GXXXX, CONGRATULATIONS! You have qualified for the following Special Offers. We've partnered with major issuers to show even better offers to well-qualified customers like you. These are offers you won't find elsewhere on our site.

The offers are the AMEX gold card and the BCP. Should I app for these, or is the site a joke?

Farm and Fleet $3,000 (AU) Paypal Extras MC $1,500
Barclay's Apple Visa $1,200 QVC Qcard $800
Amazon Store Card $600 Discover $500
Walmart MC $400 Victoria's Secret $350

Re: Cardmatch.com

I'm really baffled now. I used to always get the amex offer and now that I am about to do a round of apps it doesn't even offer me an amex anymore.

Re: Cardmatch.com

I did a pre-qual with amex themselves, and did not match any offers.

So is it possible this site makes for a better chance of approval? I'm really in deep as far as HP's, so I don't want to waste another one.

Excitement got the better of me...

We are sorry but we are unable to approve your application for the Blue Cash PreferredSM from American Express at this time.

I knew it was a lie.

From a concerned friend and forum member

You really need to stop your just apping for anything and building up HP's

In the last 3 weeks you have seen what 6 apps now all with denials...if I'm wrong correct me?

what you are doing is pushing your development back at least a year every time you take another HP

Sometimes tough luv is the best luv so coming from someone who wants to see you succeed

STOP NO MORE APPS...WORK ON YOUR CR's

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

If you have little to no history then trying to apply for a company like American Express is not a good idea. They like to see people with credit history.

Re: Cardmatch.com

Amex BCP may be a few years away at this rate.

Work on repair and consider a secured card in 6+ months.

There are times seeing all the approvals and shiny cards gets stressful but applying isn't the way to deal with it. Everyone starts someplace and a lot of the people you see having success now or bored with cards had long journeys. Some just managed their lives better, make more money, married someone with similar financial values, or didn't go through divorce, LOL!

My point is to do you. Don't get caught up in the idea that approvals or pieces of plastic say anything about you.

The computers are just reacting to a score that's based upon your credit history. Getting them to say "Yes! We like you!" is a matter of changing the behavior that lead to "No".

Re: Cardmatch.com

The only reason I apped is because I was pre-app, which turned out to be a lie.

So I am done apping for at least 5 months now. I am getting the WF secured card next week in the mail.

Would getting a 2nd SC boost my score any?
