Cards Owned by CITI

I am sure many of you already know but just in case I realized these cards are all run through citibank.

Macy's Sear's The Home Depot Bloomingdales and one I didn't realize was Zales.

I applied for Macy and Home Depot and Zales and was approved for all of them by pulling my EX report.

Re: Cards Owned by CITI

Macy's is run by Citi?  My inquiries say VISA/DSNB.  That's not Citi. is it?   Department Store National Bank.

Re: Cards Owned by CITI

They are actually a joint venture between Citi and DSNB. If I'm not mistaken though, Citi controls more of the Visa aspect of the Macy's card, while DSNB (Federated) controls the store card side.

It is generally easier to get a co-branded card (has a store name + Visa/ MC/ etc) than the straight bank card. I'm dragging around several co-branded cards at the moment. After a year of experiencing their customer service, etc., I'll trade them in for one real thing.

Unfortunately, you often can't do a product change from a co-branded card to straight Visa/ MC/ whatever, although sometimes you can.

Re: Cards Owned by CITI

Wouldn't it be an interesting thread to list all the store cards/cobranded cards that these 4 issue? The store cards I have:

Citi - Home Depot; Macy's; Sears & Sears M.C.; Bloomingdales; Zales; Children's Place; Dell
GEMB - Chevron, J.C. Penny; QVC; Paypal MC; Mervyns; Sam's/Walmart; Dillards; Discount Tire; Care Credit; Gap; Old Navy; Banana Republic; Pay Pal; e-bay M.C.
WFNNB - Victoria's Secret (closed 2 wks ago)
HSBC - Best Buy; Saks 5th Ave MC
Chase - Wawa; Hess; BP; Shoprite; Kohl's; Borders Visa
Barclay's/Juniper - Barnes & Noble M.C.
BoA - Blue Nile; AHIMA(professional org)
RBS - Kroger M.C.

Anyone else care to list their cards? [If you have a co-branded card, please designate c/b to save typing.] Smiley Happy
