Cards on the Chopping Block.....

I am putting together a list of Cards to close begining this year and ending about 4 years from now......

Walmart - Not earning rewards, actually using other cards when i go there...... thinking of closing before end of 2015

AMEX Sr. Green Charge Card - Annual Fee, getting my Everyday Card rolled over points so I can use it instead...... thinking of closing by November 2015

PNC Cash Builder - worked so hard to get it so PNC could see into my credit world to help me score an auto loan, which happened, and now i use it for my Auto Insurance so they can see i have it which satisifies my auto loan requirement, so looking to close this card after my auto loan is pad off by the end of 2018

Paypal Extras MasterCard - as some of you guys know i went through a hassle of getting this card and actually had smart connect twice before i got this card...... but i hardly use it and the points rewards system isn't much good to me, but this would be my last GE/Synchrony Card......... i'm not sure when or if i will close it if i do it may be a while..... the jury is still out on this one.

Any advice on my cards on the chopping block?

well looks like you have a great plan. Im not sure about that amex sr green. what is it? 35. remember no backdating so i would probably keep it for the history. LIke you almost every card you said is on chopping block for me. but i don't have pnc. But my green. Chopping block. Pay pal. Chopping block. I had smart connect too. Canceled and when my tu hit 715 i got the mastercard. But i don't use it. I have to fight to even put 30 on it. also. my macy's is on chopping block. Will keep walmart. just for fico and pay over purchase.

My Sr. Green was $35 for annual fee, plus $45 for membership rewards so basically $75 instead of $95..... but ya it should just be $35 now since my Everyday is linked up and they automaticaly credited my membership rewards fee back to me without having to ask..... so maybe my Sr. Green gets a stay....... we'll see......

Looks like that just leaves PNC and Paypal.

Hehehe. That's why I mentioned that. It does have some benefits. And that -c note is like purchase. Not cash advance.

Sure that's a nice feature but not really a reason to keep an otherwise useless account open. I mean, really, ATM fees are not going to make you bankrupt or anything, and basically amount to the same cost as that soda!

The Walmart card is nothing special reward-wise, you would think it would give 5% or something, but nope

No, Don't close the Discover. But the Discover also has Cashover, and not just at walmart.
