Cards.?

Is it really worth it? I would like a metal card but is it worth another card? I mean don't get me wrong any card that I get above 5k would be great because then I could get rid of a store card or two if I wanted. I mean my BBY limit will not move right now. Discover looks good but I wouldn't be able to spend $3k just to get 1% I would just use boa and freedom for everything. Maybe when I traveL CSP would be good.

Re: Cards.?

At this point given your frequent and recent apps, I'm pretty sure you won't get approved for a card with a $5000 CL. Now if you garden and work on CLIs for your current accounts and attempt a CSP in a year or so you stand a chance. The thing is getting the CSP is not a bad thing if you can maximize your rewards on that card so go for it but not anytime soon. I 100% guarantee you if you apply now you will be declined. I know you just got a chase CLi and was approved for Green but don't let that give you false hope. Also remember you just got 2 more new HPs. I know applying and getting approved feels good and makes you want to do it again but you were doing so well by gardening. Garden again for your own benefit.

Re: Cards.?

Just imagine if you will for a moment the suprise and the great feeling you get once your FICO reaches 742. I know it feels good to get approved for things but trust me having a good score feels much better. I mean imagine applying for something and getting a CL starting at $6000. Imagine getting instant approval rather than the 7-10 day notice. Imagine how wonderful it feels to get approved without a recon!!! You won't ever know that feeling.

Applying for anything in 6 months given your low scores and low AAOA you won't get a CSP. You really need to wait. I know you won't but you really do. What do you want CSP for if I can ask? Do you travel a lot? Also did you realize that the AMEX Green is one of the most tried and true travel cards out there. With the ability to transfer to frequent flyer programs. Check it out.

And ask yourself do I really need anything else? Probably not. Will you need in 6 months? NOPE. When you get that metal card you will just be looking for what's next. You have to stop somewhere. It seems your always looking for the next card.
