Hello friends!
I've seen several threads over in 'Credit Card Approvals' where a member has received a CLI on their Care Credit and it was only a SP.
As we all know, in the past Care Credit was one of the Synchrony 'exceptions' where if you requested a CLI it was a HP.
Now that I've seen this come up more than once I figured I figured I would start a fresh thread here to try to get everybody's experiences in the same place.
I've you're received a recent CLI on Care Credit (or even tried for one), let us know here if it was a SP or a HP.
Thanks!
UncleB - not sure why you're starting a new thread I posted this 3 weeks ago for everyones info & data points.
Cheers.

I'm putting a thread here to get more visibility... many people wouldn't think to search in 'Credit Card Approvals' for this info.
Thanks for providing your link here, though!
Edited to add: There are actually several threads in 'Approvals' regarding recent Care Credit CLIs, and a few times (even in threads newer than yours) the OP has been challenged on the accuracy of their information, which is the reason I'm pulling all the data I can find to one place.
Received a cli from 1k to 12k was a Sp last week, thanks for your new post, nice to have it all in one place
My CLI a month ago was a HP.
Synchrony has always been a little nuts as a lender. Lately they have gone ahead and gotten 4506T happy which is new for many banks. I guess it might be a side effect of managing so many diffrent custom cards with diffrent underwriting requirenments that Synchrony has gone a little loopy. As for Care Credit that has always been a HP unless you get a SP offer. An SP offer is rare but not unheard of. Just expect a HP and be happy an SP comes through.

Most of us are aware of Synchrony/Care Credit's historical behavior, it's just that recently that seems to be different for some (but not all) people on here... that's the reason for this thread.
If you have recently received/tried for a CLI with Care Credit please let us know if you got a SP or HP so we can add your info to our data points. Thanks!

After I was told that they are doing softpull CLI's now, I went on "chat" with Care Credit, and asked if I was eligible for a soft pull CLI request. I was told by the CSR that sometimes they do a hard pull, sometimes not, they can't say in advance.
I have no idea what that meant, and doubt the CSR knew what he/she was talking about.
