Ok, earlier this month I had an issue with Care Credit when I made a payment and then spoke to someone about allocating that payment towards a promotional purchase that was expiring on 04/16. It was a whole thing. I made a thread about it and eventually at the last minute, got it resolved.
Today I'm going thru my last 3 promotional purchases that expire in May and there's one that's $348 but the original purchase amount was $200. How does $200 jump up to $348 without interest? Glad you asked because I wanted to know also so I called and spoke with a representative who explained that apparently when i paid my last payment that some of the money had gone towards the $200 promotional purchase and then it was added back when I called in and reallocated the payment to go towards the April ending promotion purchase. I told him that makes no sense. If, for instance, $148 had gone towards the $200 balance, then I would have a total of $52 left on that purchase and if $148 was added back that would bring the total back to $200, not $348! After keeping me on hold for 10 minutes he came back and said his supervisor would correct the balance back to $200.
Listen, I've gotten good use from my Care Credit card. It's gotten me thru dental visits and vets bills and I'm thankful for it, but that is some nonsensical stuff happening there and I'm glad I caught it and wonder what else has slipped by me. Might want to check your Care Credit statements a little closer.

Jeez.. what an ordeal. It used to be so much easier within the payment portal. It would say what the remaining balance was for each promotional purchase with each promotional purchases' expiration date ...and you could apply payment specifically to each, multiple or all.
I don't know why Sync has made this so difficult.
Yes, that would make life easier.
Update: I paid the original $200 balance and it still shows me owing $148. I've spoken on the phone with 2 representatives who assured me that they will remove the extra charges but to date that hasn't happened and the clock is ticking. The expiration date is the 18th. We'll see how it goes.

More difficult for us, but easier for them to make some money! That'd be my guess!
Just in case you did not know, you can still see your promotional balances and their due dates in the old home screen by clicking on your account number on the new home screen. They don't have a promotional button on the new screen but they do on the old one. Hopefully they don't get rid of the old screen!

Really now? Are we really sure we don't know? C'mon now...
Call me cynical but with all the 0% promos they do they need people to pay fees and interest to cover their lending and make a profit. By making it harder to understand your payments and payment allocation they have basically further rigged the game in their favor. Not saying it's "by design" but the timing sure is suspect IMHO. It's why I try to keep myself to one promo at a time, can't mess it up that way. I know it's not always feasible with something like Care Credit because of what it's for but that's what they are banking on...pun intended.

The original purchases were for some dental work for my wife and I and instead of it being billed as just 2 charges, it ended up being billed as five separate purchases. I'm down to one(two if they don't remove the unexplainable $148 by the 18th).
I don't want to rake them over the coals, but there is definitely something underhanded going on. Maybe not malicious intent, it could very well be ignorance, but something needs to be corrected.
Another update: My last payment was allocated to the wrong purchase despite me being on the chat with an agent.
It never ends! I guess I'll be on the phone with them again today.
