Hopefully pizza1 will see this...
lol as if one more thread would make a huge difference. :-) But yes, in jest.

But the bandwidth! lol
Seriously, this is good news for me. I too have wondered where I could use my card and keep it active. There is a Rite Aid within a couple miles of me, in CA. Thanks for posting UncleB!

You're very welcome, Arlo!
To me the timing of this couldn't be better... it appears based on other threads that CareCredit has gotten 'parsnicky' about closing accounts after one year of non-usage; for folks who live by a Rite-Aid this seems to be a 'quick and dirty' way to solve that problem!

Well, frankly...I have been concerned about both my DW's and my Care Credit accounts. She's got $9.6k and I have $9k. We're both a couple months from being non used for a year. I can easily see myself making 3 or 4 purchases a month from Rite Aid. We're also both going to have some major dental done within 6 months.

you better make a purchase NOW...they closed mine down for NO USE at one year mark. Even though I had made a small purchase just 5 months earlier for $14.82, lol... that was my only purchase on the card as well for the whole year. It does state on the care credit site, that you must use the card at least once in a year time to keep it open and active.

well of course its now accepted here, just weeks after they closed mine for inactivity...SMDH! BTW...Got my official letter from them, and it specifically states in the letter that my account was closed only due to non-use, and for no other reasons or anything related to my credit reports. It actually stated that.....no biggie .. Thanks for sharing!
pizza1, I'm so sorry this is late for you... but the good news is that when the need arises for you to get CareCredit again, at least the 'second time around' you'll be able to hang on to it for good!
I still greatly appreciate your thread on CareCredit... I learned quite a bit myself (and as I mentioned, I really should have just posted there instead of starting a new thread).
Your threads were actually the main reason I got it when I did... which was fortunate, since only a month later I broke a tooth and had to get a crown.
Two weeks ago I finally used the account for the reason I got it (implant) and I have to say it's become one of my most valuable accounts!

heck no, this post deserves its own thread!! This would have gotten buried in mine, and plus this is great news for a lot of folks who have the card and looking for ways to keep it active! Honestly...I dont miss the card, or the CL. It didnt impact me at all, LOL.. It was the only card in my whole line up that wasnt used regularly, and i knew the risks that came with getting a card "just in case you might need it in the future".... those are hard to keep up with..
...
Youre right though...IF i decide to reapply in the future, of course it would be later down the road in later 2017 at the earliest, Id probably exceed my last CL on my previous card of $10.8k, and Id buy eye cleaner every 2 months, or something at Rite aide like deoderant or something, LOL...
thanks again for the post and the shout out!
There's now more clear information on the website, and it's definitely accepted at all stores nationwide.
