The last time I screwed up the debit card and credit card at the ATM, I called up the CCC and they waived the cash advance fee. That was with Chase about 2 years ago.

 

I paid my balance down to zero the next day and all it cost me was the minimum finance charge (I don't remember if it was $0.50 or $1.00.

I tried doing this with my Chase CC that I accidentally used at the ATM, and they refused to remove any of the charges.  As if it really got back at them, I promptly canceled my checking and savings accounts with Chase (but not the CC).  A small victory in my mind at the time!

My small victory over Wachovia is to keep $1 in a free checking account.

Maybe you should change your pin on one of your cards so you can't make this mistake.
