Cash Back rewards question

I only recently was able to get a couple of cash back rewards cards so I am very new to them. I have 2 QS1’s and a Spark Classic for my business. I am setting them to send me a check since ACH does not appear to be an option but I was wondering at what dollar amount I should redeem? My main QS1 built $40 in the past 2 months and my Spark is at $5.50 in a month and that was quite a feat with a $500 limit let me tell you. Anyway, I hate to have Cap 1 cut a check for $5 so my question is at what dollar amount should I request a check? I know it’s not building interest so I know I need to move it. I have a 2nd personal credit union account that is just sitting there with a $0 balance so I am going to use it to collect my CB rewards.

Re: Cash Back rewards question

This really is all about personal preference.  With my Doublecash, I let the cash back rewards build all year and use the money to pay for Christmas.

I absolutely agree. I redeem when the amount is over ten dollars because I put all my rewards in savings anyway, but it is totally your call.

Re: Cash Back rewards question

As long as its not out of the ordinary then I think I will take the funds out at $25 increments. That should be about once a month give or take a few days.

This. Nothing better than a good chunk of "free" money to spend end of year. It's like an early tax return for Christmas purchases

im basically the same way, at least my plan is! but i plan on leaving a minimum of what i can redeem. my way of thinking is, if for whatever reason the card or the cb is going to be nerfed or devalued or i just plain dont want the card anymore, i'd be able to redeem it asap as i have the minimum required for redemption readily available. =p i know it sounds good in theory but we'll see in practice! lolz
