Cash Rewards Card from Capital One

This may sound like a stupid question and I apologize for my ignorance here but I have the Capital One Cash Rewards card. It is a green card with a $39 AF. I was instantly approved online for it with a $3000CL. I keep reading that there is a C1 Cash Rewards card that has a ceiling of 3000 and I am concerned about that being the card that I have. But when I call Capital One, they tell me that I will be eligible for CLI in the future just not right now simply because it is such a new account. Can someone please help me figure out which card I have? Thanks!

Re: Cash Rewards Card from Capital One

Unfortunately your card may be stuck where it is unless you somehow hit the lottery and manage to get a product change.

There are two versions of the green cash card. The one with the 39 AF is for average credit, there is one with no annual fee for excellent credit that is a world mastercard which starts at 5000 so unfortunately it sounds like you have one that won't grow,

Re: Cash Rewards Card from Capital One

there are 39AF and 0 AF versions of cap1 cash rewards cards, you got the lower tier version of it

you are lucky to have 3k CL, run with it, credit line increase from cap1 is harder than hit powerball,

Re: Cash Rewards Card from Capital One

Makes sense to me. I really didn't think that I would have qualified for the excellent credit at all. But I did not know if there might have been another version that I was not aware of. In any case, I am certainly grateful to Cap 1 for extending me the CL that they did when nobody else at the time would. I have read all the horror stories about Cap 1 but personally have no problems with them at all and they will always have a spot somewhere in my wallet. Thanks for the answers!!
