CashYes

I applied for CashYes card thru Metabank. Other than the high fees what do you guys know about it? I liked the higher credit limit. Its double my other cards. I assume that the fees are billed to the card and not required to be payed first.

Re: CashYes

I went to the CashYes site and honestly, IMO, it looks like a total rip off. $300 in fees just to open the account?? Crap!!!

I may be desperate to rebuild my (and hubby's) credit, but I'm not THAT desperate. And I'll bet that if you think about it and look at it logically (I mean, we're talking about $192 in annual fees -- $96 AF and $8.95/monthly), you'll see that you're not THAT desperate either!!!

So when it comes down to it (and I don't know about the APR which might yet be another deal-breaker), you're not getting a $675 CL, you're really just getting $483. And that's only $183 more than the average lowest limit from Orchard ($300).

Just my opinion. I think you can do MUCH better!!!

Re: CashYes

You might want to try the BofA 99/500 card. It's partially secured (the 99) but the great thing is it can grow with you - as you treat it well and your credit improves it can convert to an unsecured card. BofA is generous with CLIs also.

I thought that was not guaranteed to get the 99/500.

I have a 550 (lates on car note as recent as April, and one new collection -- GRRRR) and I was only approved for the fully secured.

Hubby has a 580-590 (lates as recent as April on SLs and car note, no new collections) and he apparently wasn't approved for squat. :/

Well, no, it's not guaranteed, but you asked for suggestions. It's a good card for repairing credit and worth a try IMO.

Re: CashYes

I applied to BOA and got regular secure offer. Am going to consider that route. Consequently I am out of checks. New ones not here until 7/29 not enough time to take up the offer lol opps. You'd think you could do it with just your account information!
