No credit card required
Browse credit cards from a variety of issuers to see if there's a better card for you.
When I first started looking into the "credit mix" sector of the FICO pie a few years ago, I wrongly assumed that a charge card being different than a credit card would help contribute to a better mix. The same way I thought that if someone already had a mortgage and an auto loan (say) that adding another loan type like a personal loan would positively contribute to "credit mix." Anyway, adding a charge card will help someone build credit history through another account, but it won't help any more than another revolver would.
no reason at all I just heard it was the easiest charge card to get
but I have decided to just stick with what works for me and that's regular Credit Cards. I have been grateful to be able to handle my current cards. Charge cards from what I have read, you need to be wise when using them. Plus I love cash back Cards so I will stick with those. If its not broke im not going to try to fix it, no use trying to re-invent the wheel. it's already been established ![]()

Also, for Amex charge cards the card color (Green, Gold, Platinum) determines your annual fee, rewards specifics, and 'perks' you get. The various charge cards have similar (if not identical) underwriting; your spending ability is determined by your profile, not the color of the card.
