I'm sure this has been asked before but I did not find an answer in a quick search of previous posts.
Does a Charge Card (AMESXPRG) balance count toward revolving credit utilization?
I have been in the habit of paying off everything prior to statement closing date, but this month I am considering waiting a couple weeks to pay off the balance on my AMEX Premier Rewards card. This means the balance will report. Is this going to have a negative effect on my total utilization?
Thanks in Advance.

If I remember what I read in past posts correctly, no.

It counts as a card with a balance in the "number of cards with balances" portion of revolving utilization. However the balance is excluded from your utilization calculations, except for the TU98 version ( sold here at MyFICO ), which does include the balance.
How then do the figure the credit limit? If it adds to the revolving balance there must be a credit limit added as well to the overall average.

TU98 takes the "High Balance" field and uses it as the credit limit when it includes charge card balances in your utilization.
