I'm sure that it will go to recon given my chase opening and lowering of TL. I've put healthy spend on all my chase cards. $10k on ritz and $15k on my United club. So I prob don't seem like a churner to them (I hope)

That is my worry -see blue.  Let me ask you this, how many Chase cards have you opened and closed since you said you have had the CSP before. I asked because Chase pays attention to these things and if it is not the 24 month and you try to circumvent, you might get into trouble even if you do it in the branch.

I know you spent those amounts on both cards, but that ight not be high enough.

Re: Chase 5/24: backdated Amex as chase strategy

I've only opened three chase cards before:
CSP in 2013 -- converted to fredom in 2014 after the AF
BA card in 2013 -- closed in 2014 after AF hit
United club opened in 2014. Still use it regularly. $50K+ spend in first year of card membership. $150 retention credit last year. I may not get one this year as I've spread my spend around new cards.

Pulled the trigger on 70k + $50 statement credit offer. Got 7-10 days message on the web.

When I call the automated line it says they will advise in two weeks.

Re: Chase 5/24: backdated Amex as chase strategy

Whoa.

If I have the United club card can I still get the bonus for the United Exlorer? I've never had the explorer and it's technically a different product.

I just read this fine print from the off the rack MP Exlorer offer:

Replying to this offer: If you omit any information on the form, we may deny your request for an account. Chase cardmembers who currently have or have had a Chase credit card in any Rewards Program associated with this offer, may not be eligible for a second Chase credit card in the same Rewards Program. Chase cardmembers currently receiving promotional pricing, or Chase cardmembers with a history of only using their current or prior Chase card for promotional pricing offers, are not eligible for a second Chase credit card with promotional pricing.

Something tells me you are treading dangerously here, but stranger things have happened.  You might be an anomaly.  Here is hoping for the best and update the thread with results once you hear back.

Re: Chase 5/24: backdated Amex as chase strategy

I called the automated line and I've been approved.

I froze all by EX and the HP cost me -7 fico

I don't need the CSP yet given the high United signup bonus but I do have quite a bit freedom points so I'll eventually want the CSP.

Guys based on my numbers and dates above when do you think it would be wise to app for CSP? I'm in no rush now also because I'm using freedom for dining this quarter.

Once August kicks in my United club will drop off the 24m radar so I'll be at:

United explorer 7/2016
Ritz Dec 2015
prestige Dec 2015
premier 2015

Thanks
