"that's an additional 10 points for every 100 points you already earn!"
Yep this is 10% bonus on your current rewards, not 10% bonus on entire purchase. I originally misread this as well and got excited...
EDIT: ninja'd
Just got an email for mine that is for "5% Back at Amazon.com" specifically. Seems like they've got a few different options that they're sending out to different people.
Dear calistal,
You're invited to earn 5% Back on Amazon.com purchases — that's an additional 2% Back on top of the 3% Back you already earn! Here's how this exclusive offer for select Cardmembers works:
| Activate your 5% Back on Amazon.com purchases by September 30, 2015 | |
| Use your Amazon.com Rewards Visa Card | |
| Earn 5% Back at Amazon.com from September 1, 2015 through August 31, 2016 — that's an additional 2% Back on top of the 3% Back you already earn! |

hmmm least being competive with this one
Pretty under-whelming. If you have Sallie Mae this doesn't beat it and if you have Discover IT with cash back doubled at end of the year you will have had 6 straight months of Amazon purchases for 10% (July-Dec.)
As someone with both of those cards none of this is really that great, but I can see being excited at getting the 5% for a year if you didn't have SM or Discover IT.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the 5% on this offer isn't capped...

I just got this 5% offer. Since it isn't capped, I think I'd take it over Sallie. However, Discover still trumps for the next several months.
Moving my Chase Amazon list to one of my other cards is on my to do list. This ALMOST made me think I shouldn't. But looks like I'm still good to go (and I didn't get the offer anyway.)

That 10% is deceptive.. still sallie mae and amazon store card is better.. oh and not to mention the king right now of Discover with actually 10% CB when doubled in a year.. (if you got in on the sign up.)
Yup, I do have that Discover deal as well It's definitely still the better deal, but I thought I'd share this one nonetheless since some folks don't have the Wonderful World Of Discover

Of course, if you use it through the "Giving Assistant" shopping portal, you should get another 5% at Amazon
