worst they can say is no. I HIGHLY suggest applying via amazon.com though instead of Chase. Last month, Chase told me I reached my CL with them. 30 minutes ago I was approved via amazon site for 5K.
I would imagine its one of the lower end chase cards.
So the Amazon store card is more easy to get?
Yes; most definately.

Don't want to make you sound dumb, but are you sure it was for the Chase Amazon card? If you look at reviews for the store card and the Visa, a lot of people get confused and get upset about it. If it was for the Visa, it could be the extra time made them more comfortable granting you more credit.
This was actually the first non store card I was approved for. Score was 685 (not sure why so low then) low utilisation and maybe two inquiries. It was an instant approval and although it said "temporary" limit of 1000, that was what the limit was when it came.
it was the chase card. I know because 5 min after applying I went onto chase.com and my brand new account was listed there.
