whats your profile look like?  With at least six months of other CC history and assuming that your reports are clean if not instant a recon shouldn't be too difficult.

Re: Chase Amazon Card

Somewhat... 680 scores and no recent baddies. Aaoa needs to be at least a year... if you have a lot of inquiries it would be better to wait. A better choice might be discover or amazon store card depending on your credit report.

Re: Chase Amazon Card

worst they can say is no.  I HIGHLY suggest applying via amazon.com though instead of Chase.  Last month, Chase told me I reached my CL with them.  30 minutes ago I was approved via amazon site for 5K.

I would imagine its one of the lower end chase cards.

Re: Chase Amazon Card

So the Amazon store card is more easy to get?

Don't want to make you sound dumb, but are you sure it was for the Chase Amazon card? If you look at reviews for the store card and the Visa, a lot of people get confused and get upset about it. If it was for the Visa, it could be the extra time made them more comfortable granting you more credit.

This was actually the first non store card I was approved for. Score was 685 (not sure why so low then) low utilisation and maybe two inquiries. It was an instant approval and although it said "temporary" limit of 1000, that was what the limit was when it came.

Re: Chase Amazon Card

it was the chase card. I know because 5 min after applying I went onto chase.com and my brand new account was listed there.

Re: Chase Amazon Card

You CANNOT apply for chase amazon visa at chase website. You have to and can do it on amazon.com only.

Amazon has 2 cards. 1 is the store card offered by GE, which can only be used at amazon. The other is the chase amazon visa, which you can use anywhere since its a visa.

The GE backed card is easier to get by conventional wisdom, and the chase backed card is harder to get in comparison.
