Re: Chase App after student loan derog?

@finstar yeah I got the $30 myFICO report to check my latest score as of 01/06 and the last derog which was on TU is finally gone, and from 678 spiked up more than 70 points. Just checked the chase pre-qualification page and I got the “we are unable to locate any offers for you at this time”

Ok, one option would be, provided you have access to a Chase branch, and talk to a banker to see whether there would be any pre-approved offers for you. Not sure if you are currently a Chase customer or not.

Alternatively, you can try submitting your application online. It's not always a prerequisite to have a pre-approved offer, since I've often submitted cold apps.

Re: Chase App after student loan derog?

Im no pro but from what I have noticed Chase will show your prequal offers without even typing your SSN when you have a checking account with them. I have a checking account and it shows if I have prequal offers or not. Having the checking account also allows me to access their prequal site to manually input my info to check for prequal offers.

Re: Chase App after student loan derog?

I currently dont have a Chase account. I had banked with Washington Mutual back in the day and chase acquired them, then I closed the account as I didn't want to maintain their 15$ fee for not having 3k in checking each month. This was a decade ago anr d obviously 3k isn't a problem for me to keep anymore, but i already have relationships with other bank. Should I try to just open a checking/saving with chase and just let it sit to get some "relationship" with them again?

It wouldn't hurt OP, but that's entirely up to you. If you plan on doing so, look for any checking and/or savings SUB offers to make it at least worthwhile.

I'm definitely thinking you'll likely score a CC product not long from now 😁
