Is the automated system up-to-date? My card app has been in review for a week. Pretty sure it got declined because of the high number of INQ, but wondered if the app line tells you whether your declined or keeps you hanging until you get a letter
Updated in real time in my experience.

Have you called the backdoor number?
I would call the backdoor number and ask kindly for them to review your application. Its likely that they need to talk to you or verify identity before moving forward.
Try these numbers:
Chase: 888-270-2127 (App recon)
Chase: 888-245-0625 (Credit Analyst - Recons)
Yeah call the recon line... get your answer (and recon if necessary at the same time) quick!
Thnx for the info. I don't think recon would work in my case, I think it would be difficult in explaining why I have over 90 inq on my EQ in two years. Unless they accept 'being a credit addict' as a recon reason :-) I was just wondering if the system is real time or not. Only I recall from a previous app spree that one banks automated line kept saying "under review" but received a decline letter.. I thought it was Chase but not sure.... Damn, I really wanted this as my main card, I should have apped for it first. No biggie I'll re-apply in 3 months and make sure its my first app in that months spree

You could say you were really unsure of which products you wanted, but after reviewing Chase's awesome freedom card, you decided that you really would like to use Chase Freedom for all you're daily spending
I had over 20 when they approved me

My thoughts exactly, haha. Except ONLY BIGGER!
And here I am thinking the 16 I have on Experian is like THE BIGGEST NUMBER I HAVE EVER SEEN...lol.
Anywho, GL to the OP, Chase has always been nice to me on the phone for calling in before a decision was made.

And here I was freaking out about my 30 inquires...LMAO.
I'd call Chase direct and ask about the status if their system hasn't updated. In my experience...it'sbeen real time updates for the auto system.
