Chase - Approval Process?

I applied on Monday evening and received the 'Application in process, it will take 15 day - 30 day message'.. I called to check the status of the app today the rep told me that it's still in process... Does it usually take this long? I have a Chase Amazon ($2.9k) and this app was for a Chase Continental MC.

When I applied for my Southwest Airlines card it took over two weeks to an answer.  They can be incredibly slow sometimes.

Wow! Geez! Did you wait for the letter/card to arrive or did you call beforehand? I don't need the credit right away, I'm just anxious

LOL!  I was in your shoes...  I called a couple of times and was told it was still waiting to be reviewed.  The last CSR I spoke with was from the US (ahem) and she was not quite as cordial (ahem again) as the previous reps.  I kind of drilled her a bit on why it took so long.  But after I spoke with her, a few hours later it was approved.  Not sure if it made a difference or not.  I think this typically happens with their co-branded CCs.

Hehe! That sounds like me! I've waited years for 'pretty good' credit, I guess I can wait another week and a half for an answer    Thanks for replying!
