Chase BP Gas VISA question

Hey, I have several new cards and am rebuilding still with my bad stuff coming off in 13 months.

I recently was approved for a Chase BP Gas VISA card and I've read about people getting their accounts closed.  It has all kinds of rewards for spending on certain things.  

My question is, is it okay that most of the things I purchase on the card are not in the big reward categories?  I just use it as if it doesn't have rewards and buy whatever I need and charge it to the card as well as use it at non-BP gas stations.  I'm using it heavy the first two months and paying down to under 5 percent to keep utilization low and allowing them to make some interest.  

I guess I didn't know if they mostly wanted me to use the card under the bonus/rewards categories?

You're fine and in no danger of having your card closed.  Just keep using it as you have been and don't worry about these closings.  All the discussion about cards being shutdown has gotten to the stage of being way overblown so don't let it affect you.

Any kinda use you want.. They really don't like you to use the freedom only the the 5x categories, etc. and nothing else... Honestly I am personally starting to think a few cases turned into trolls being alot more bogus cases on various forums..  I do believe at least one story of Gray or Grey on this forum, most likely she was unjustly closed, but others I question..  Use it and you see fit other then buying GC's and you are fine
