Usually if you ask for a reconsideration, it is reviewed by an account manager.  If that supervising acct. manager still declines the application, it is usually marked as having been reviewed.  That particular application is probably done for.  In the case of unsecuring a card, it is marked as declined for probably 30 days.

I had a chase mastercard for 1 year and never carried a balance before they closed it.  I had a collection that I was disputing and they would not do a recon.  I got the dispute off my CR and have since gotten a Kohl's card through Chase, now they are sending me offers to apply for cards.  No thanks chase
