Re: Chase CC strategy

Have you considered putting breaks on? Because if you haven't,  you might get the answer to "what have I got to lose?" question.

In any case, you know you'll apply, so get it over with.

The advantage of the Delta Gold is, the outsized miles SUB. I'm not sure if it was already pointed out in your Delta thread, but AMEX revolvers like Delta Gold are the most user-friendly cards for building CLI. With your profile of no missed payments, the $1k limit seems likely, but in 61+ days you also seem a good candidate for a 3x CLI. There is a long thread somewhere about the nuances of the AMEX 3x CLI. The Delta Gold would push out your next Chase card, but it's a wait for that anyway.

Re: Chase CC strategy

These Chase Amazon card approvals are killing me. Really regret getting the store card, which actually has the highest CL after getting 2x CLI after heavy spending. Problem is I no longer buy from Amazon any more, the only use for this will be no FTF, aside from getting SL reassigned to CFF which is still stuck at 500(which has car rental for bonus category but CO has 8% for Hertz right now lol). Canceled prime too.

Re: Chase CC strategy

So for now it's a 3-way race for the next app lol;

Autograph, Amazon, PenFed. All are Visas which I don't have.

I'm not actually in NEED of more credit but just in case(accident, etc.)

Autograph can satisfy cell phone bill and transit. Not much, but still. So far have been using Citi DC(2%).

Amazon as I said reassigning limits to CFF, that's pretty much it.

PenFed Power Cash, I already have 2% card but it pulls EQ which I have the least inquiries and seems lenient.

Dark Horses are Amex Delta Gold and BCE.

I'm really curious what limit I'll get for Autograph(neither it nor Amazon, am prequalified. Delta ones briefly but no longer?). Guys with thick files and high scores get 2500, etc., so could be pity SL 1000 lol. I would like to get 5000 for the next app or close, so ideally, should just garden and will probably lazily not do anything lol.

If by some miracle CFF gets auto CLI for the next 2 months(almost 1 year), no need to apply for Amazon. In fact am waiting for other CLIs for recent cards, Cap 1 S1 sent an email to update income for CLI some time ago.

Re: Chase CC strategy

@AnonymousFor a better shot at all the dream cards your looking at. Your AAoA 9m, AoOA 1y4m, AoYA 6m, is kinda young. Passing 2 yrs will help your desire to get those cards. Age does wonders. Scores go up once the avg age increases. Your in thin/new territory with your siggy you have. Sit back relax and enjoy what you have for now. Once passing the ages of 2 yrs. Scores up, possible SL's up and APR's go down.

Re: Chase CC strategy

I'm still curious..for the sake of science lol.

After heroic! 6-month hiatus after getting a card per month lol, what would my SL for the next card be?!  After 2 store cards gave me 2000 in October, Tomo gave me the same amount next month. 2 months after that Cap 1 SO gave me the same amount. Then the month after that Disco graced me with 3000. That was 6 months ago and Tomo auto-bumped it up to 3000 a couple of months ago.

Say if I go for Autograph now; will it be 3000? Or 4000? Or pity 1000-2000?

My spending is low nowadays, and even if I do get Autograph, will have use for only cell phone and bus bill. Hence logically don't need high SL at all.

For now, restaurants I have Disco It CB 5% Groceries CFF 5% both till next month. If I want a spin Cap 1 SO gives me Hertz 8% Credit-wise I really don't need further cards right now.

Regarding Chase, I'm at least thankful for the only sub I've gotten from those 8 cards lol. Used that $200 for free roundtrip to Florida last December! If I even get to 5/24 in the 1st place lol, I'll like to get the same easy sub for CFU. Funny thing is there are now 2 versions, another of which it pays extra 1.5% but no sub(similar to Disco 1st year)

Right now I'm just waiting for an auto CLI by CFF, I've been heavily using it and PIF, hoping for an increase from a meagre 500. Got the card last October almost the same time as Citi DC, and already had an auto CLI from DC(1000 to 1500) about a month ago. I really would like an increase to use it on travel such as rental car. Did use it on some domestic flights which is cheaper than rental(Spirit, etc., which cost around 200 lol). I might be going home soon(South Korea), so it'll be great if I can use my saved UR points.

If no increase, I wonder what my chance is for Amazon(not Prime). Seeing so many monster CLI, just wets my appetite lol. Ideally if I get it and get CLI, will allocate most of them to Flex to use for travel. Or can one use Chase travel portal with this Amazon card as well.

Or, I read that Slate edge confers bigger SL, but other than allocating limit to CFF,  have really no use for it.

Right now no CC offers at Just For You section, and if I click Open an acct; personal CC, always show 6 cards, Slate Edge, SP, SR, Southwest® Rapid Rewards® Plus, Boundless, Explorer, but not Amazon. Not getting preapproved at Amazon site either.

Any suggestions would be helpful. I know I should just garden lol, but just in case..I'm thinking I 'might' apply for Amazon next month(Disco It was February, so frankly too early, but who knows...)

The Amazon Prime Visa is a very good card in my opinion, but it's strictly cash back... no way to use in the Chase UR ecosystem.
