Chase CLI Question

Everyone always asks the "Can I get an CLI from Chase without a HP," but I rarely see much regarding which CRA they pull or the process following that.

Can anyone enlighten me here? I don't want a new card but don't have a lot of inquiries on my reports and might be willing to take a hard pull just go get a bump on my Chase cards. Can I take one HP for a bump on two cards? Seems unlikely knowing them.

$45K income
Amex BCE $34,000
CSP $10,000
Discover IT $9,500
Freedom $3000

Mid to high 700s across the board
AAoa of 25 months
0 TU pulls, 1 Equifax, unsure about Experian

I have gotten a few auto CLI from Chase, they seem to SP EX but they rely more on their internal scoring system more than FICO. Most likely it'll be 2 HP for 2 CLI

Amex Platinum, Amex Hilton HHonors Surpass, Chase Southwest Premier, Chase Marriott Rewards Premier, Discover IT, Sony Visa, Barclay Arrival+ MC, Cabela Visa, Walmart SC, Amazon SC, Kohls, Diners Club Premier, PayPal Credit, PenFed Platinum Reward Visa, PenFed PLOC, Chase Ritz Carlton, Citi TY Premier, Amex BCP, Discover Miles, Care Credit, Blue Nile SC, iComfort SC, Cap1 Venture, Chase Hyatt, Lowes, US Bank Cash+, Citi Costco Visa

Re: Chase CLI Question

A CLI request from Chase will definately be a hardpull.  But if you want them to use the hp for 2 CLI, I suggest you SM them and see if that is possible before proceeding.

Re: Chase CLI Question

Thanks, guys.  Any advice on if I should request on the CSP or Freedom?

Which one do you use the most? Since the freedom gas the lowest line, I'd request on the freedom card if I were in your shoes.

Re: Chase CLI Question

I put maybe $100/month on the Freedom and maybe $700/month on the CSP.  Neither enough to justify a bump.

Then request it on the CSP.  It seems you use that the most.  But it is all up to you.

Re: Chase CLI Question

I asked for one yesterday on my CSP to take it from $5K to $10K so I could take advantage of a 0% BT offer they sent me. Went pending--more than likely a denial. They pulled my EQ---was hoping they'd pull EX b/c my score right now on that one is 9 pts. higher.

Re: Chase CLI Question

IDK about the "official" Chase cards but my Amazon and Marriott cards get auto CLIs almost once a quarter. It always seems to be after I pay off a balance of 60% UTI or more and the CLI is generally at least 50%.

Re: Chase CLI Question

Since your spending is limited, why push the limit? 10K CSP and 3K freedom is quite adequate. Leave some breathing room for future chase application.
