Asked for 6k. and got 5.8k! A 1k INCREASE! It was a HP unfortunately but totally worth it!! I'm still not eligible for a Signature card either. I was told I had to close my current card out and apply for a new one
Congrats! I would call back about converting to Visa Signature with a $5.8k limit, what you were told doesn't sound right. Was it the Credit Analyst or CSR that advised you weren't eligible?
It's considered a product change and the agent said they didn't see any offers available on my account. It's been open for over a year...and now I have a 5k+ limit...I'll probably call another day.
Thanks! And SM?
I wonder that if I PC...will I lose my current Chase 10 pts every purchase? They stopped accepting applications for it November of last year and are slowly easing people off of it...I want to keep it for as long as I can!!
Got you.
Thanks. I'll try that route Tomorrow is Monday. Maybe they will be a little more giving...
Congrats! That is definitely not true about reapplying for the Visa sig, I was in your situation about a year ago. I searched around everywhere for answers on how to get my Chase Freedom to a visa sig. After searching I finally tried contacting the Chase Executive Office and they had no idea but I got a good CSR that told me she would look MORE into it for me and contact me within a couple days with the results. Couple days later she called me and informed me that my card has been converted and the new card should arrive within a couple days.
So if I were you I would try going this route. As long as you have good history with them (on time payments, good utl, etc.), obviously over 5k limit which you do, then you should be good to go. Don't take no for an answer, make them look into it. Mention your friend has had this done before so you KNOW its possible!
Maybe this thread should be called Chase freedom conversion to visa sig. kidding, keep us posted.
VISA SIGNATURE UPGRADE COMPLETED!
Sent a secured message to Chase on Sunday night. Flash forward to today...a Chase rep called me back and verified some info...BAM...upgrade completed. You will receive your new card within 10 business days. The agent said he doesn't expect my card number to change but that my expiration date will definitely change and I will receive some additional information regarding the upgrade. And my card will report as NPSL. OMG SOO EXCITED!
Thank you all for your suggestions!
