c00mtg, is there something about being a CA resident that causes the extra pulls?
Gidgetmom, I've never seen a pattern for Chase that indicates any kind of cause and effect. One member posted that extremely heavy use might cause a CLI.
In my case, I got a CLI on my Amazon card four months in. My usage during those months ranged from 20–30% of my limit, although I never cut a statement balance that high. In two of the four months, my balance was zero .(One of those months was actually a negative balance.) My gut says that any kind of usage beyond leaving the card in the sock drawer would have triggered my increase.

It just seems that or CA, Experian is the CRA of choice.
Just received an auto-CLI a few days ago on the Amazon Prime Rewards VS. It was only a $1k increase making it a total limit of $2k which is still my lowest limit . I've had the card for about 10mths now. Had only been using it for Amazon purchases here and there but began to use it more frequently with 20-30% of utilization these past 2-3mths. So I guess they do like usage but I probably won't be using it anymore if that's all they could give me. Only going to be using it for Amazon purchases from now on. Thats what its pretty much good for anyway.

Same for those of us next door in NV. When I saw that thread yesterday where DCU pulled EX instead of EQ on someone, I winced. Everyone wants to pull EX and sometimes TU on the west coast. The only lenders I've found out here that always pull EQ are Discover, Comenity, and Capital One, via their triple pull.
Yeah, we need a new law for pulling credit and HPs lol
I have had a chase Marriott rewards card with an 8k limit and a sapphire with a 5k limit since may of last year. For the first 10 months I ran anywhere from 6k-12k through the marriott card and pif and no luv at all from chase. So I have no idea what the want. It is still my preffered card because I travel and love the points for free rooms so I still use it for every purchase. I would think me running 75k through it would trigger something.

You would think so. I would assume your income is sufficient considering your spend. Is there anything else profile-related that could be holding you back? How are your scores? Your utilization? Any negative items?
