Chase CSP CLI

Good afternoon all,

I received the Chase CSP back in mid March and have been very healthily using it. When I got it, my FICO 8 was in the 670’s, now at 720. Would it be best I wait for an auto CLI, and if so, how long would it normally take?

On the other hand, would it be worth it to use a hard pull for a manual CLI?

Thoughts or suggestions anyone?

Re: Chase CSP CLI

Most reports are 6-9 months before something happens.

HP CLI  debates go on for days about this.  Personally I go w/ a new app and then shuffle the CL's around.

I did the HP CLI and got 5K and then less than a month later apped for CSP and got 25.9K.... which would you prefer?

Re: Chase CSP CLI

If you really want it, you’ll probably have to ask for it. I’ve had one sapphire account open for about 8 years and have gotten a couple small auto-CLI’s but I’m still probably not double my original CL. I’ve been approved for cards (not with Chase) for double my current Sapphire limit.

Whether a hard pull is worth it is up to you. I don’t have any actual need for the additional credit, so I’m content to just roll on as is, picking up 10% CLI’s every few years.

The one thing I did get from a rep the other day is to make sure your income is updated. That could help the auto CLI process along.

Re: Chase CSP CLI

Thanks for the input.

I’m leaning towards the manual. At the same time, I’m very interested in the AMEX Plat 100K offer that I was pre-qual’ed for yesterday. I may go back around with a Chase trifecta 1-2 years later.

Re: Chase CSP CLI

I don’t really need a platinum, but if one of those 100k offers shows up for me, I’ll probably go for it too. Plus, if you’ve already got an Amex, they won’t even do a hard pull.

Re: Chase CSP CLI

Well, I pulled the trigger and got an increase from 8.5k to 17k!

Re: Chase CSP CLI

Doubling your limit is better than most get around here!
