I've had the CSP for over a year now, anniversary was on the 26th of last month, but I was told by two representatives that my card is not eligible for a product change at all. The AF just hit today and I don't think the AF is worth it to me, so I could simply cancel it but I was thinking I could PC it to a Freedom card.
Any insight into this?
I recently changed my CSP to a regular Sapphire when the AF hit. IIRC, they also told me I could switch to a Freedom, but I already have one. I'd try calling again.
*Edit: Before the PC, I also asked for a retention bonus, but they wouldn't offer me one. But they were eager to switch me to the Sapphire or Freedom in order to keep my account open instead of me closing it.
you have to call i just did it a couple month ago before the fee hit
i went to a regular sapphire

When I had CSP, I had to change it for regular Sapphire card first, then changed to Freedom. For some reason, I was not able tp change from CSP directly to Freedom. The rep can only see what the eligibility is.
But the final answer is, Yes you can change the CSP to other Chase cards. But you'll have to wait if you want to change to CSR due to higher AF.
Never mind. Called just now and this representative processed it right away. Straight to a Freedom card.
Don't call them in them in the middle of the night with a product change request is the lesson learned. Thanks anyways guys.
