Hey all so I will be leaving the country (USA) one week from today.. And I will be bringing my CSP to use since there is no FTF... My question is when I call in to put a travel alert does it only apply to one specific place I'm going to or any places, I will be making stops from Singapore--->Guam------>Japan---->South Korea. Do I need to tell them to put in multiple alerts when I am at those places so my card doesn't get deny
Thanks
I have called before with multiple countries on the itinerary, and they just ask for a general idea of when you will enter/leave each country. I added a day onto the beginning and end of each destination just in case. Chase made it easy.
My experience has been: Chase and USAA like to be notified. Amex doesn't care.
Good to know since I'll be traveling outside US pretty soon. Thanks to OP and all the replies so far.
In one call you tell them your travel dates and the places you will be visiting and they will add a note to your file. It would all be taken care of in one call. Its not a guarantee that every transaction will be approved, but the fraud department will see the note and know you indicated that you will be travelling to these various locations.
USAA actually wanted to know which airports I was stopping over in so they could allow charges in transit.
USAA card number was stolen in Orlando and their fraud department was on it like stank on a hog, LOL! Overnighted me a new card with no issues whatsoever.
Called Amex when home and they basically said "There's no need to call. We know where you are". I felt pretty odd after that conversation and wondered how much confidence it takes in one's spending/fraud algorithim it takes to make such a statement.
"There's no need to call. We know where you are"
That's just creepy.
agree...just give them your itenary and should be good to go...

IME, Chase, Amex and Discover wanted to know my general information.
The 'we know who you are' quote would have creeped me out too
Amex knowing where I am didn't really give warm, fuzzy feelings.
I've be away from home since May, for school, and haven't had a single issue using the Amex. They probably knew about the move before me, LOL!
