Hello all,
I am still itching to try to pick up a CSR... However, I will not be under 5/25 for another 12 months... Right now I am at 8/24. I have had the CSP for 1 year now. I am trying not to PC.
How long do we expect the 100k bonus to last? I have not tried in the branch yet, and have not submited an application online. Im still just waiting... The problem is, I have three apps that will drop off in 1 year within 2 days of each other. How long would you wait to apply? Should I wait a couple more months and try in branch? Or should I just PC?
Background... AAOC 1 year 1 month Equifax 12 HP, Transunion 5 HP. Scores over 700 and under 10% UTI. (taking advantage of a couple 0% 21 month offers.) 100% payment history. 0 baddies. Income over 125k
Thanks.
your Chase exposure is pretty high .... I would go in branch to check for pre approval. What's stopping you from checking ?
Thats the only advice really you can be can be given as your 8/24 & want the 100k sign up.
From what I have been reading the only way to get around the 5/24 is with a pre-approval. The info I have been searching for myself was like a couple of months old so not sure if that still works with branch pre-approval. I did not have this option to go into a Chase branch and also no offers so I cold apped with 5/24 and figured what the heck.. I will just waste 2 inquires and then I know at least that it will be no way around and I will have to wait. To my surprise it worked out but I had 0 inquiries on EQ and only 1 on EX when I applied and that is what Chase pulled for me. No new accounts and new inq since January 16 and exactly at 5/24. Not sure how many were successful with cold apping and being over 5/24?
Mostly just my exposure. I use to have 30k (down to 8) in savings with them. I lost my job for a few months and now I am contracting... So I dont want to draw any more attention than I have too for a few more months. I just really dont want to miss out on the 100k. I plan on dropping the CSP and would drop the United Club if nessissary...But not if I dont have to.

I would probably wait and hope the 100K will not go away or if gone wait for a promo to come back. If it should go away then I could imagine promos to come back. Refrain from apping for anything else and let the accounts come down to below 5/24 and then go for it. As for the exposure I was surprised that I did not have to cut down on any of my other Chase cards to get approved. Chase now has the highest exposure and is like 60% of my annual income. Now I need to behave ![]()
Offer is tempting i am finally below the 5/24 as of Oct 2016. I am tempted but would feel more comfortable with a guarantee if I app that i will get it lol. Right now i am not gettign any pre approved offers so i can wait till another few fall off at the end of the year .
Don't worry. My exposure is almost 90%. You are far from it.
but....since you are over 5/24 and I assume you are not CPC. I think you should just hold off. Or you can go find a CPC banker and see if you are pre approved.

Similar stats, no preapproval, I was under 5/24 in October as well. I applied 11/1, and approved w a $30K SL. I think you're good to go.
This is what the view looks like if you don't wait lol. god this election had me do some nutty things. I was @ 5/24 and the card came in with a much lower sl than I was expecting + @ 16.24%. mayeb no surprise, just got a $62K car loan 2 weeks ago and my scores are trashed because of euro travel. was walking by a chase and the rest is history...you only live once
i haven't updated my scores in a while but if amex fico score is to be believed i am just a bit north of 800 , I will think it over tonight. Seems like same app but not sure i also have to think about how i want to use those UR :-)
