Chase Card Strategy

Hi everyone, looking for a little help with Chase.  General overview

Current Scores TU/EQ - 768, Exp - tbd,  Utilization normally around 9-13% as something is always on there from work travel

Chase via their app shows me at 750 (T/U) w 3 inquiries at 2 derogatory (both have been paid, but one hasn't updated ($61 Medical that I never noticed). Per DoctorofCredit it looks like they mostly pull EX in Colorado.

I have been adding specific cards this year (2 AAdvantage cards through Citi/Barclays) and upped my Amex to Platinum for travel benefits.  I have a general offer for the Freedom Unlimited in my chase acct login (but not pre-qual) but am really looking at the CSP for the Ultimate Rewards and then hopefully app for the Unlimited so I can convert the cash back to UR points and take advantage of the 50k SUB.  I'm not sure if I will ever show on the prequal as I'm an AU on the wife's Southwest card via Chase?

I'm not sure if I will ever show on the prequal as I'm an AU on the wife's Southwest card via Chase?

Any historical insight into how Chase will look at items that were negative for so long, now with a $0 balance and showing "Current"?  Based on what I have read here it appears I should app for the CSP first and then the Freedom Unlimited for the 2/30 as the CSP has a 1/30, do I have that correct?

Thanks

Re: Chase Card Strategy

I would wait until your negatives show as paid. Chase doesn't like unpaid collections.

Re: Chase Card Strategy

Thanks, getting anxious to just get an yes/no on this but want to give myself the best odds.  Guessing it will show soon enough!

Re: Chase Card Strategy

Are your EQ/TU scores from CK?

Also, Experian gives a free monthly fico score and so does the Discover score card ( you do not need to have a disco card)

With Chase, good things come to those who wait.

Also don't depend on or make decisions from CK scores, they are not accurate. CK is good for knowing what's on your CRs, but not the score. You can get your free FICO8 score from Discover's Free Credit Scorecard.

Re: Chase Card Strategy

My latest on the Exp app is 741 which still shows the medical collection (it's fallen off the others) and I saw TU/EQ from CK.  Guessing they use the Vantage 3.0 which is what I see elsewhere with the same score (768)

Thanks

Chase will pull EX & TU in Colorado.

Re: Chase Card Strategy

Update: Saw on Chase's own CR it offers that the medical showed as paid now (supposed to be coming off but I'll have to check)

App'd despite no offer and was approved for $9k CL.  I had an offer for the Freedom unlimited and I put that through immediately after (had just the income/phone option) and just received a "thank you" so no clue on that one.  The CSP is showing in my accts so I believe I'm set on that one.

Appreciate all the help
