Chase Cards

Question.  If I applied 7 days ago for a Chase Southwest Airlines and got the wait 30 day notice,  do you all think it would be ok to apply for the Chase Freedom in the meantime.  I should have applied for the Freedom first then converted to the Southwest Airlines card but I didn't.  Just one more thing I have learned on this siteSmiley Happy

Thanks oneloveforall for bringing this to my attention.Smiley Wink

Re: Chase Cards

You haven't heard anything yet, huh?  I am wondering just how long will it take for me to get an answer on my preapproved application for Chase Visa.  Smiley Indifferent  Regardless of the outcome, that will be it for me until 2/09.

Good luck!

Re: Chase Cards

I wouldn't apply for any other Chase cards until you get your answer from the first app. Have you called to check the status?

Called today and they said they would let me know within 30 days by mail.  That's the same thing they said 7 days ago when I applied.

Re: Chase Cards

That's the message I got from them and within 2-3 weeks, I had a card in the mail.

HH,

Did you call in within those 2-3 weeks to see if you were approved or were you just surprised when the card arrived?

Re: Chase Cards

SpecFile,

I received my Chase Visa Card in the mail today!   I told you I would let you know if I was approved for not.   I am very happy now!  Smiley Happy

This is the last card I will be applying for until February, 2009 as I have now transferred all my high-interest balances.

Re: Chase Cards

SpecFile,

You are very welcome!  I guess not caring if I received the card or not made it happen!  I was denied a Discover and FNB Card in July, 2007 and turned around and applied for an Amex Clear, CitiUpromise and lastly a Chase Card.  I AM DONE.  I did receive all three of these cards at a price of 8 inquiries now under Transunion.
