can somebody tell me if the Disney card falls in the 5/24 rule? Taking the family to California and doing the city pass, but then I ran into a Disney card ad. Is it even worth it? Thanks in advance!
Nope, it is not part Chases's 5/24. I was approved about a month ago and I am 9/24. There is a referral link roaming around on here for $200 statement credit with $500 spend in three months. It's on the no fee card. That's a fairly good deal.
All you need is a little faith, trust, and pixie dust.
Good Luck!
I read some of the brochure on the Disney website about this card. Dont really care about the cash back, im more interested in the deals in the theme park for my kids. The cash back will be cool, but I probably will never use it but once a year when we go to California for our usual family vacation. Thanks tho Michelle and congrats on the 9/24 approval! lol

Perks are:
10% Off at Disney Stores and ShopDisney.com
10-20% Off Restaurants at Disney Parks
Free Character Pictures (Big Value)
Possibly Discounted Admission (haven't tried yet but thought I read it somewhere)
Their rewards are paid in Disney Reward Dollars which can be redeemed for a Disney Card used at Disney Stores/Food/Parks.
Sign Up Bonus is a $200 Statement Credit if applying through a referral link (for some reason that offer is only available via referral) otherwise it's $100 or a Disney GiftCard for the no AF Version.
I have the card and it's been great for me the perks are good, I liked the SUB, and there's no AF so if I only use it every 3 months it's not a big deal.
The fine print for dining and merchandise discounts says:
"Not valid in combination with other offers, discounts or promotions."
Does that mean the Chase card discounts can't be combined with annual passport discounts on food and merchandise? Or has someone stacked them?

Annual passholder here and I can confirm...they do not stack so check your terms to see which offers a better discount and keep in mind it matters at some of the restaurants if it is lunch or dinner. I sat down for hibachi in Japan Epcot for dinner and found out the hard way.
Definitely take advantage of the Disney Visa passholder photo ops. I've got one framed on my desk at work and make sure to snag one every time we hit the parks.
I usually pay for the entire trip with my Disney Visa and end up getting enough back to cover a sit down dinner on the next trip...which is often...so it's well worth it for me. Plus I have a card in my wallet with Lord Vader on it. Yes im a total Star Wars Disnerd.
Very useful information in this thread.
It is not apart of the 5/24. Didn’t read all of the responses, but if you’re already a chase bank customer you can ask to replace your card with the Disney debit and still reap some of the benefits without going for the card.
I app’ed back in November but got declined due to too many inquiries. Ended up just changing my debit card over to the Disney card for our trip end of January. I may make the husband app since we’re planning for a Disney cruise end of 2019, as long as the Wonder comes back to Galveston.
Edited to add- not sure when you’re looking at going. But the biggest way we saved money on our Disney trip was buying Target GC’s with our target red debit card for 5% off and then turning around and buying Disney GC’s with them. Sunday after Black Friday they do 10% off of target gc’s too. Paid for our resort stay and tickets that way and ended up saving about $400 and I just stacked it with a rewards credit card for the purchase to get extra points.
Good to know discounts don't stack. My pass saves me more.
