Chase Freedom 5% Bonus + Shop through chase

I was looking through the shop through chase stores available and bed bath, and beyond is lsited as a 3% earn rate through shop through chase but do you then also get the 5% bonus for categories on top of the 3%?  

Anyone that can speak from experience and chime in would be great.  Buying a lot of house goods this next month and quarter and 8% back is better than 5% on the first 1500 dollars.

So on the CSP it is 2 bonus points per $, Freedom 3.   Is that common?  Don't use the UR mall much.

Just checked and there is a difference.  Strange

I haven't tried it this quarter, but for the department store quarter I got 5% for department stores and 5% shop through chase for macy's. Usually the offer will say total x% back or x% extra cash back and that's how you'll be able to tell.

Yea I remember that from the 4th qtr as well. It said something like including 5% 4th qtr category. I'll just have to try it soon and see what we get.

Its normal, i notice that several times, i just got the swash at bed Bath and beyond, 6miles+5%=3300aa miles+2750UR points=awesome
