Welp, guess I won't be using Freedom too much for the next 3 months.
I about maxed out my Disco 5% category on Amazon the last quarter they ran it, but they run theirs during the holiday season so that's WAY more convenient. It's definitely still nice to have an additional quarter of 5% for those of us without an Amazon credit card, though. Thank you for posting, I had not seen this update yet.
I didn't receive anything, either.
Mixed feelings about this one, but I do a decent chunk of xmas shopping on Amazon, so I suppose I could start early.
🤷♀️
Dimon is sucking up hard to Bezos. I wonder if this means there will be changes to the Amazon card before the end of the year.

It didn't take long for some unhinged speculation to surface.
The most reasonable explanation is that Chase doesn't want the Freedom card to compete with Discover for Amazon spend during the Christmas shopping season, especially when they already offer a dedicated Amazon credit card.
Thank God it wasn't restaurants. I'll get some use from this. Thanks for posting.

It didn't take long for the ad hominem attacks to start.
Let's not do this. I havent had enough coffee to be forum police.
We spend at least 800/mon on amazon, this will get used, if no better deal from other cards.
Even though I have an Amazon store card with 5% back, this is actually useful to me for a change since I redeem URs for travel instead of cash! I'm not sure how Whole Foods fits into "Coming Soon - Summer Fun," but would have been able to easily max it out on either Amazon or Whole Foods.
