What does your file look like? I've read many times over that Chase doesn't like thin files.
What other cards do you have. What are their limits and age?

Not bad. As long as all of those accounts have been paid as agreed the only thing I can see them saying is those collections need to come off. They are pretty old so I don't know how much of a factor they'll play but Chase can be unpredictable. If approved, they probably wouldn't give you a large CL. Definitely worth a shot to call tomorrow. I applied for mine in July, got the 7-10 day message, kept calling and they said it was in another department and I'll know whin 30 days. About a week later I logged into my Chase banking account and saw my credit card listed there. Keep us updated.
Thanks for the reply! I live in Illinois and chase usually pulls TU and EX, I did not get an alert yet from EX but TU immediately upon the hard pull.
If i call for a recon, can i ask they use the TU report?
Someone please correct me if I'm mistaken, but if they pulled both TU and EX they used both to determine your eligability for approval. If you're borderline and one is significantly better then they other they may offer you credit. If not, then you'll have to wait and try again. Asking them to only use on report after they already considered info from both won't do you any good.
(again, if anyone has had different expereinces, please share. This is what I was once told by a CSR)
that makes sense I was just curious because when I applied for the slate card last year. I called in for a recon after I received the denial letter and the csr did a recon and denied me for high balances and sent me another denial letter, this time using my TU enhanced bankcard fico 250-900 range instead of traditional fico and it was not an additional hard pull
Interesting. Well give them a call tomorrow. It can't hurt to ask. Definitely let us know how it goes.
for sure I will let you know! I just went over my CRA reports so I am ready for them!
